Founding price being tested: €990 per person including planned accommodation, meals, sewing materials & tuition.
↓Not quite a class.
Not quite a holiday.
Something nicer.
Imagine old Italian music through an open window. Coffee that turns into conversation. Beautiful fabric spread across a long wooden table. No rushing to the next thing.
You come to sew, of course. But you also come to be somewhere lovely, meet women you didn't know yesterday, and spend four days doing things slowly.
A weekend that feels like another time.
A vintage-inspired cotton-and-lace set to take home.
Complete beginners welcome. Coming alone is normal.
A small country-house escape, with meals and time together.
MATERIALS & TEXTURE · VISUAL REFERENCEBeautiful because
you made it.
A soft camisole and relaxed matching shorts, made with lightweight cotton and delicate lace.
No cups, zips, boning or intimidating fitting. Just a thoughtfully designed first project, prepared patterns and help from Olga when you need it.
- A pattern prepared for beginners
- Cotton, lace, thread and the small details
- A sewing machine and all the tools
- Personal guidance from Olga
The final set is in prototype testing. We'll show the actual finished garment before paid reservations open.
I'd love to make this ↗
Italy, without
the itinerary.
Fresh air. A table big enough for everyone. A long lunch that ends when it ends.
The exact country house is still being selected. Panorama: Piemonte, not the booked venue.
Just enough
of a plan.
The schedule leaves room for the nicest things: getting to know each other, lingering over breakfast and sewing without a stopwatch.
Arrive & exhale.
Shared transfer from Turin, settle in, meet the group and share our first Italian dinner.
01Make it slowly.
Fabric, pattern, sewing machines, Olga nearby to help. A long lunch in the middle and aperitivo in the evening.
02Wear what you made.
Finishing touches, a little styling, optional photos, countryside air and a beautiful day with nowhere urgent to be.
03One last coffee.
A slow breakfast, goodbyes and a group transfer back to Turin.
04This is the planned rhythm; the exact timings will be confirmed after the sewing prototype and venue are finalised.
You can
come alone.
There are just six guest places planned. No experience needed, no friend required, no dress code and no pressure to model your work. Photographs are optional, and we will never publish your image without permission.
By the first dinner, everyone will know your name.

CRAFT FILM STILL · PHOTO OF OLGA TO FOLLOWAN INVITATION FROM THE ATELIER
Hi, I'm Olga.
I'm the maker behind La Cortigiana, my small atelier in Turin. I design, cut, sew and embroider pieces by hand. And I still love the part of sewing that has nothing to do with deadlines: the fabric, the conversation and making something slowly.
So I'm bringing six women to the Piemonte countryside for the kind of weekend I'd want to be invited to myself.
I'll help you throughout, even if you've never used a sewing machine before.

taken care of.
We want you to arrive with curiosity, not a suitcase full of sewing equipment. These inclusions are planned and will be confirmed before any paid booking.

- Sewing machines, tools, pattern, cotton and lace

There are no silly questions about your first retreat.
Do I need to know how to sew?
Not at all. Olga is designing a beginner-conscious project with prepared patterns, materials, machines and personal help. A real beginner prototype test is underway.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. The group is designed to be welcoming for women arriving on their own, and nobody has to bring a friend.
Will I have to share a bed?
No. We plan shared rooms with separate beds for every guest. The final sleeping arrangements will be confirmed before paid bookings.
Where is the retreat?
In the Piemonte countryside, Italy, with transfer planned from Turin. We are choosing the house now and will show real photos and the exact location before booking.
Do I have to pose or be photographed?
No. Styling and photos are optional. No image of you will be published without separate permission.
Are May 2027 and €990 confirmed?
They are the current working season and indicative founding price. Exact dates, accommodation, inclusions and booking terms will be confirmed before payments are accepted.
What if I change my mind?
Joining the interest list is free and not a reservation. Full cancellation and refund terms will be provided before any paid booking opens.
